7 Oaks Summer Camps

A Day in the life of a 7 Oaks Camper

Our camps are designed to be experiential while also making learning about all things horses and barn life really fun!

Each day will be filled with hands-on instruction, followed by small-group breakouts where campers will apply what they've learned with their horses.

We will also have games and crafts to further develop their equine etiquette and vocabulary.

They'll end the week with new memories and confidence that will last for years to come!

  • Lesson of the day: How my behavior & emotions impact the horse's response to me and why.

  • Young girl wearing a helmet riding a brown horse in an outdoor arena while being observed by a person in the foreground.

Practical Application: Go experience what you've learned about emotions and horse behavior in the presence of a horse.

  • Young boy wearing a helmet sitting on a brown horse while an adult woman with a blue cap stands in front of the horse.

Game Time: Campers will engage in a fun adventure or activity that will highlight what they've learned, creating new memories with their fellow campers.

  • Young girl in a pink jacket feeding green grass to two horses in a sunny field.

Enjoying the horse: From grooming to bath time and riding- campers will get to spend plenty of time loving on their new equine besties. Each day's lesson has an intentional application to their real-life experience with their horses.

Meet Our Camp Leads

The 7 Oaks team is filled with a diverse group of horse-loving individuals who are also passionate about sharing their love and knowledge of horses with you!

Leilani

Leilani has been riding for over 10 years and loves helping others discover the same joy she found in horses. After beginning in English riding, she expanded her knowledge by learning western as well, giving her a well-rounded approach in the saddle.

Through her experience working at summer camps and with riders of all ages and skill levels, Leilani discovered that teaching is one of her greatest passions. She especially loves the “click” moments—when something finally makes sense and a rider’s confidence lights up.

Leilani believes riding should be both productive and fun, combining strong fundamentals with encouragement and a supportive environment.

Her goal is simple: for every rider to leave the barn smiling, feeling more confident, and excited to come back for their next ride.

Gabby Sparaco

Hi! I’m so excited to be part of the summer camp team this year. I’ve been around horses for years and most recently spent time working as a wrangler on a dude ranch in Wyoming at the base of the Tetons—so I’m no stranger to long days, big skies, and even bigger personalities (both human and horse!).

I love helping riders build confidence, learn new skills, and most importantly, have fun. I can’t wait to share my passion for horses with everyone this summer!

Tesssa Swarthout

There are few adrenaline rushes quite like running down a blind alley at 25mph and trusting your horse to turn the first barrel with you.

Moments like that aren’t built on speed alone—they’re built on connection, confidence, and trust.

At camp, riders will meet a real-life cowgirl. Tessa joins as a guest instructor to share how that partnership with a horse is built long before the arena—through patience, communication, and learning to truly understand the horse.

Through demonstrations and hands-on learning, campers will see how even beginners can start building confidence, connection, and trust with these incredible animals.
